He’s getting married in the morning…

So wedding season rolls on and the weather has been perfect for it! Last weekend it was a gorgeous wedding do at New Hall in Sutton Coldfield. Congratulations to Mrs and Mrs Faye and Paul Allen who tied the knot in the splendour of the marquee, replete with Can Can Dancers, Bon Bon Bar, traditional Ice-Cream and of course Dave Clarke Wedding DJ!

Next week it’s off to the Marriott Forest Of Arden to celebrate with good friends Lucy & Steve. Lucy is one of our neighbours and she’s been with Steve for years. Imagine the scene last week then when we arrive home from New Hall to find Steve hanging off Lucy’s drive with a carrier bag full of, erm…, the result of drinking too much!!! Good Stag Night Steve?! It’s a good job that I’m a professional or I may have to reflect the event at the reception ;o)

I’m taking wedding bookings for next year and we’re really busy already but shout your date and if I’m free then I’m yours! Click here for more info.

Ssssshhhhhhhh!!!!!

Ow! This one hurts…

I’m booked to host, compere and then DJ for a Charity Ball in November. All the details will be posted here soon but the organiser has just mentioned an unconfirmed act. The bill boasts ‘a mystery celebrity comedian’ and I now know who it may be. The problem? I’VE BEEN SWORN TO SECRECY ABOUT IT!!!!!!

Let’s just say that this performer is major, premier league and world cup all rolled into one! Click back soon and I’ll spill the beans ;o)

A belated ‘hello and thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome at The Birmingham Market Trader Of The Year Awards a few weeks back. I feel really guilty that this is the first chance I’ve had to blog about the awards but I’ve had a holiday and man flu since!

Anyway, August 14th, and we gathered in the Bullring Outdoor Market for the awards and celebrations. I played a few tunes, we enjoyed fishmonger and butcher demonstartions and even Elvis turned up to sing! Then it was on to the big moment… the announcement of the winners…

The Best Outdoor Trader category went to C. Sutton Flowers, Conway Pile, of C.P Vickers fishmongers, won the Lifetime Achiever award, and Ajaz Beg, of Bull Ring Phone Centre, took the Trader of the Year award as voted for by Birmingham Mail readers. Posh Bedding in the Rag Market won Best Newcomer, Pearce’s Shellfish scooped both the Best Presented Stall and Best Indoor Trader titles and Bull Ring Pet Centre took the Best Rag Market Trader crown.

Congratulations to all involved and thanks to the many colourful characters who came along and got involved!

Oh and I’d be delighted to come along and compere your event. For more details on Dave Clarke corporate event host, click here…
